This first event was to discuss the importance of defending the historical heritage of the Mines of Herrerías and raise awareness of the important historical railroad to the River Guadiana.

- Lecture: "The Guadiana mining railway, from Herrerías to Puerto de la Laja" by Ivan Carrasco Martiánez, Mining Engineer.
- Lecture: "The change of Andévalo mining. Dilemmas and means of local development" by D. Jose Suarez Suarez, Mining Engineer.
- Presentation of diplomas to former workers of Mines of Herrerías.
